CC Still On The Block?

So, the opportunity for Matt Holliday has passed, but could Carl Crawford still be on the block? In my opinion, yes. If we get the right deal we can unload on CC's $7 million contract and replace him with the poorman's Carl Crawford in Fernando Perez. Perez has more speed and the same contact. He is lacking power, but he showed us he can jack some. We would be trading CC for a rightfielder, DH or closer. If we traded CC, we could sign Pat Burrell, the power bat we've been needing. If we trade CC, we could trade him to his hometown of Houston for Jose Valverde and the right package of prospects. You could trade Crawford, Ried Brignac, and Jeff Niemann straight up for Valverde and Pence. I would think the Astros would take this trade and it would definately benifit us since we fill our void in the back of the bullpen and our void in right. But I'm just speculating. It would be tough to see CC go and I don't think the Rays are in a position where they need to trade CC. But if the right trade became availible, I would go for it. If the Rays go the route of not trading their franchise guy, they could sign Burrell to become their power hitting right fielder. If they do not sign Burrell, I would give Perez the every day job and see what he could do. That would be the fastest outfield in the league and 3/4 of a track team. To fill their DH void then, I would go internally with Aybar, sign Giambi or Milton Bradley. There's what I think.
