AAAA8897 by Keith Allison.

So, I’ve already given you ESPN’s take on the Rays prospects. Now here is the list from Baseball America’s Prospect handbook, given to us for viewing pleasure by Mark Topkin.

Here’s the List:

1. David Price,lhp

26. Mike McCormick, c
27. Kyeon Kang, of
28. Ty Morrison, of
29. Jason McEachern, rhp
30. Shawn O’Malley, ss

They also rank Ruggiano at 31. The Rays have the fourth best ranked system, with the Rangers, Marlins and A’s behind them. The top 20 look good. Beyond that, the 21-30 is out of my range of  knowledge. If you know about these guys, please share with us. As we have already established since the start of the playoffs, PRICE IS KING.  The list ranks Hellickson and McGee too low, IMO. They should be before Moore and Barnese. The rest are fair, but they may be overestimating John Jaso.
