AAA – The Durham Bulls beat Lehigh Valley 6-2, powered by a 3-5 night by Matt Joyce which included two doubles and two RBI. Reid Brignac went 3-3 and Joe Dillon added his first HR as a Bull. Starting pitcher James Houser went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks. Dewon Day got the win, improving to 2-0 on the season.
AA – The Jacksonville Suns shut out Montgomery 8-0 Thursday night. Starting pitcher Brandon Mann, who replaced the injured Jeremy Hellickson in the rotation, was roughed up for four runs (two earned) on three hits and five walks in his 5 1/3 innings of work. The Biscuits were held to just three hits. Desmond Jennings had the night off.
A – The Charlotte Stone Crabs were pounded by Palm Beach 10-4. Starting pitcher Jesse Darcy saw his record drop to 0-4 on the season as he scattered eight hits and a walk over 5 1/3 innings, allowing five runs to score. Cody Cipriano was the one bright spot at the plate, going 3-5 with a pair of doubles to lead Charlotte.
A – The game between the Bowling Green Hot Rods and the Savannah Sand Gnats was rained out.
