Heath Rollins and Nevin Ashley rough starts in Arizona this afternoon.  Rollins pitched an inning of relief , allowing five runs on four hits and a walk while Ashley got the start at catcher and was 1 for 4 with two strikeouts as well as two passed balls defensively.

All was not lost, as reliever Paul Phillips pitched a scoreless inning in relief, allowing just a walk.  The rest of the Rays participants did not see action today.  Their team, the Phoenix Desert Dogs lost to Mesa 10-6.
