Durham Bulls 1, Buffalo Bisons 9

Lance Cormier got the start for Durham and went four innings, allowing six hits and four runs (one earned).  Relievers Ryan Reid and Mike Ekstrom didn’t fare much better, with Reid allowing three runs in three innings and Ekstrom two runs in two innings.  The Bulls committed four errors in the game.

Montgomery Biscuits - had the day off for the Southern League All-Star game.

Charlotte Stone Crabs 0, St. Lucie Mets 9

Alex Colome saw his record fall to 4-5 on the season as he went five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits.  Deivis Mavarez followed him with two innings, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks.  Matt Hall had the only hit for the Stone Crabs.

Bowling Green Hot Rods – had the day off for the Midwest League All-Star Game.

Hudson Valley Renegades 0, Staten Island Yankees 1

Parker Markel looked good in his first start of the season, allowing just one hit and no runs over six innings.  Chris Winder had two hits for the Renegades.

Princeton Rays 7, Burlington Royals 2

Top 2010 draft picks Josh Sale and Drew Vettelson made their professional debuts and both had nice first games.  Sale hit a solo home run in his second at bat and Vettelson had a pair of hits in the opener.  2011 pick Cameron Seitzer also homered.  Winning pitcher was Felipe Rivero who went 5 2/3 innings, allowing a run on six hits.
